These walks not as demanding as 4 boots, but, at this time of year, conditions may be tough on the open hills. Please make sure you are fit enough for the walk as described. Bring sufficient food and drink (preferably hot) and that you have proper boots, waterproofs, warm clothing (with additional layers) and gloves and hat.
Only book one walk at a time, then add to cart and return to shopping.

This walk is split in two with lunch in the crypt at Llanthony Abbey (pay on the day). In the morning, start along the lane through woodland, breaking out into open moorland as you approach the Revenge Stone. Past the circular cairn at Garn Wen and then down to Llanthony. After lunch drag yourself up the eastern side of the valley to Offa's Dyke Path and so down to the start! Ascent 2500ft.

A tropical sea bed on the summits!
The white rocks of Pen Cerrig Calch are the limestone remains of a tropical sea. Elsewhere in the Black Mountains the limestone has been removed in the last Ice Age and the red sandstone exposed. The walk climbs steeply from Crickhowell onto the flat summits and then descends towards the west, returning via the Beacons Way and the riverbank. Ascent 2900ft.
