Following on from last night's talk on the canal.
NOTE CHANGE OF START POINT.
The walk will initially follow the route of the railway that killed the canal, looking at the wharfs at Govilon and Llanfoist. Then visit Crawshay Bailey's grave, an iron bridge (the first in Wales) and an inclined plane (used for tram cars carrying limestone down from the quarries). The route back along the canal will pass Bailey's house and the site of a breach in the walls of the canal (an all too frequent event, even now!).

Mark the end of the Festival with an easy walk up Table Mountain.
A gentle walk along country lanes before a steep climb onto the hills to the top of Table Mt. Look down on Crickhowell and the Usk Valley and then descend quite sharply down to the village and back to the Red Lion for a cuppa or something stronger!
